The Rucks Department of Management at the E. J. Ourso College of Business acknowledges outstanding students as Rucks Fellows. These students are chosen by the faculty and represent the highest level of academic achievement among senior management majors in any of the department's concentrations. To be eligible, a student must be among the top graduating seniors in the management curriculum based on their grade-point average; honorees are announced in the fall and spring semesters.
A group of LSU business students finished in the top one percent of worldwide competitors in Bloomberg's 2025 Global Trading Challenge. With 2,394 teams in the competition, Brennan Davis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Dakota Espinosa of Denham Springs, Louisiana and Landyn Sonnier of Tickfaw, Louisiana, finished in 20th place worldwide and 6th place among teams from North America. Senior instructor Tish O'Connor, CFA, served as faculty advisor for LSU's competition teams.
