Each year, the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development (SLHRD) proudly awards approximately $16,500 in scholarships to exceptional students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to advancing the field of human resource development.

Betty C. Harrison Fellowship
Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing with the university as defined by the LSU Graduate School OR fully accepted into the LHRD Masters or Doctoral program as a new student no later than May. One $1,500 fellowship is awarded per academic year. Applicant must be enrolled full-time in the upcoming Fall semester to accept award.
- A 3.5 or higher GPA is required on all graduate work attempted if an applicant will have attempted 18 or more hours by the conclusion of the Spring semester OR
- A 3.5 or higher GPA is required on all undergraduate coursework if the student will have no attempted graduate coursework by the end of the Spring semester OR
- A 3.5 or higher GPA is required on all undergraduate coursework and all graduate coursework if a student will have attempted graduate credit hours by the end of the Spring semester but will have less than 18 attempted hours
Halliburton Scholars Program
Recipients of this scholarship must be full-time sophomore, junior, or senior students pursuing a degree in the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development. Financial need may be a consideration. The scholarship shall be awarded annually for one academic year, one award to a sophomore and one award to a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Exact award amounts vary.
The scholarship shall terminate if the recipient fails to: remain enrolled full-time; in good standing and making satisfactory academic progress; placed on disciplinary probation.
Nelson A. Hauer Endowed Scholarship
(aka: Industrial & Technical Education)
A total of $4,000 is awarded each academic year through two applicant opportunities.
$2,000 is awarded to an undergraduate student, who is fully admitted into the College of Human Sciences & Education by January 13.
$2,000 is awarded to a graduate student who is fully accepted into the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development Masters or Doctoral program by May 2.
- A 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA and LSU GPA is required by the conclusion of the Spring semester
- Undergraduate applicants must be fully admitted into the College of Human Sciences & Education no later than January 13
- Full time enrollment for the Fall is required
- Applicants must be in good standing with the university as defined by the College of Human Sciences & Education and the Office of Enrollment Management
- GPA Requirement

One $2,000 scholarship is awarded per academic year to an undergraduate student, who is fully admitted into the College of Human Sciences & Education by January 13, OR a graduate student who is fully accepted into the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development Masters or Doctoral program by May 2.
- A 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA and LSU GPA is required by the conclusion of the Spring semester
- Undergraduate applicants must be fully admitted into the College of Human Sciences & Education no later than January 13
- Full time enrollment for the Fall is required
