Video: LSU Football Coach Brian Kelly Releases Bald Eagle Treated by LSU Vet Med

A bald eagle treated by the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine was released back into the wild Friday on the levee near the school. LSU football Coach Brian Kelly did the honors, opening the crate to release the eagle.

The eagle arrived at LSU Vet Med in October, suffering from dehydration and a damaged wing. Faculty, staff, and students provided her with pain relief and nursed her back to health.
