Summer at LSU, Summer at UREC

As the hazy days of summer drag on, your summer class just let out, you’re caught up on homework (and the latest Netflix shows), the fridge is full of leftovers, and your at-home workouts have become stagnant. It’s a great time to explore UREC.
UREC has a variety of activities, classes, and equipment. And for students enrolled as full-time for the summer, summer membership is included in their regular fees. This means that students can take advantage of all the amenities that UREC has to offer, including the climbing area, indoor and outdoor pools, basketball and racquetball courts, and GroupX classes. Students can also participate in intramural sports and Outdoor Adventure trips throughout the summer.
Part-time students, students enrolled in an LSU Online degree program, and LSU students who are full-time in the spring and are registered full-time in the upcoming fall semester, are all eligible to purchase a UREC summer membership for $85.

Things to do at UREC this summer:
- Build a team and join an intramural sport tournament or league
- Float on the Leisure River and play sand volleyball
- Organize a picnic at the UREC Field Complex and walk the levee
- Join a GroupX Class
- Climb to new heights at the Climbing Wall
- Rent a kayak, put on some sunscreen, and paddle the LSU Lakes
- Get a job as a UREC student employee
- Achieve a new high score on the pinball machine
